Foraging Walk & Tasting: Fungi, Plants, Berries and Herbs

Join me on a relaxing walk in the woods! August is the perfect time to get out and explore the wide variety of wild edibles available locally. This class is perfect for the beginner or intermediate forager/mushroom enthusiast, outdoor enthusiast, foodie or vegetarian.
We will review how to properly identify mushrooms and wild edibles, discuss sustainable harvesting and local laws and collect specimens to study. Learn 15-20 mushroom species that are available now, as well as a variety of non-edible/poisonous fungi, plants and herbs and perhaps even take some home with you to enjoy!

After the walk, we will sample various hyper-seasonal wild drinks and foraged snacks while discussing recipes and ways to prepare each item on your own. I will also be selling a number of wild foraged products, so be sure to bring cash if interested!
