Interested in learning how to identify medicinal plants, trees and other delicious local wild edibles? Join me on a relaxing walk in the woods, followed by a delicious meal featuring local wild edibles! This class is perfect for the nature lover, home cook, foodie, forager, herbalist or outdoor enthusiast.

We will review various edible plants and fungi, discuss sustainable harvesting and local laws, review edible invasive species and collect specimens to study and incorporate into our picnic. Learn 15-20 edible/herbal/medicinal species that are available now and take some home with you to enjoy! The walk will last approximately an hour and a half.

After the walk, we will feast! I bring all the necessary accoutrements for an epic wild food picnic, featuring a variety of my very own wild crafted sodas, cocktails, jams, pickles, soup, salads and a sandwich or main course. Everything I create is hyper-seasonal and largely foraged.

This event allows me to really delve into various cooking and preservation techniques best fitted for each item we gather and allows you to taste the results! All that while having a beautiful day in nature, learning, feasting and making new friends!

*Please note: If rain/weather is an issue on the event date, a rain date will be emailed out to registrants.

**The address shown above is a TEMPORARY address. Since this is a smaller class, we will be going to some of my more private spots, and will determine the best area to forage *3 days prior to the event date. It will most likely take place in Newton, Weston, Waltham or Wakefield.
