Pride Month Foraging Walk & Social Hour with Wild Crafted Mead, Soda and Shrub Tastings
When: June 1, 2024 1pm – 3:30pm
Where: Prospect Hill Park Waltham, MA
Cost: $65/person
Interested in learning how to identify medicinal plants, trees and other delicious local wild edibles, while making great new friends? Join me and a few of my like-minded foraging buddies on a relaxing walk in the woods! This class is perfect for the outdoor enthusiast, nature lover or home cook, beginner forager, herbalist, or someone just looking to enjoy a day out in the woods with fun people.
We will review various edibles (greens, garlic/onions, flowers, roots, herbs, etc), discuss sustainable harvesting techniques and local laws, review invasive edible species and collect specimens to study/taste. Learn 20-30 edible species that are available now and take some home with you to enjoy!
The walk will be followed by mead tasting and social hour with some foraged snacks! Rainbow attire encouraged! *Please note: If rain/weather is an issue on the event date, a rain date will be emailed out to registrants.
