Interested in learning how to identify edible seaweeds? Join me on a relaxing walk along the beach during low tide! This class is perfect for the outdoor enthusiast, nature lover, home cook, beginner forager, herbalist, or someone just looking to enjoy a day out with fun people.

We will be visiting one of my favorite spots to collect delicious seaweeds. While walking we will also identify various snails, whelks and shellfish, discuss sustainable harvesting techniques and local laws, review invasive edible species like green crabs and collect specimens to study/taste. Learn 10-15 edible species that are available now.

During the walk, we will warm up with a wild tea tasting, foraged from ingredients found along the coast during warmer months.

*If you plan to harvest any seaweed, please make sure to bring a large plastic bucket with you, along with knee-high boots, as your feet may get wet.
