Join me on a relaxing walk through the woods! Fall is the perfect time to get out into nature and learn about the abundant wild fungi, fruits and nuts available in New England. Newton offers an array of delicious treats including bolete mushrooms, beefsteaks, puffballs, chicken of the woods, maitake and more.

This class is perfect for the outdoor enthusiast, nature lover, home cook, beginner forager, herbalist, or someone just looking to enjoy a day out with fun people.

While walking we will also discuss sustainable harvesting techniques and local laws, review invasive edible species and collect specimens to study/taste. Learn 15-20 edible species that are available now.
