September 5 Mushroom Foraging Walk: Edible, Medicinal & Poisonous Fungi

Early September is one of the very best months to get outside and explore the vast variety of edible mushrooms including Maitake, Milk Caps, various Boletes, Puffballs, Chicken of the Woods and more!! This foraging walk is perfect for chefs, home cooks, nature enthusiasts, fungi lovers or those just looking for a fun day in the woods.
We will review how to properly identify mushrooms and wild edibles, discuss sustainable harvesting and local laws and collect specimens to study. Learn 15-20 mushroom species that are available now, as well as a variety of non-edible/poisonous fungi, plants and herbs and perhaps even take some home with you to enjoy!
