Reflections, Thanks & Limited Time Specials!

It’s that mad scramble between Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah and the New Year. We have made it through Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday & Giving Tuesday. But have you heard of Walden Wednesday? Or, Thoreau Thursday?
No…? Ok, I may have just totally made them up. You have to admit the alliteration was pretty solid! Before I digress any further about my favorite literary devices, let me offer a few reflections, some long overdue thanks and shout-outs and most importantly, exclusive holiday deals just for you!
First and foremost, the good stuff! Through December 20, get 10% off all gift certificate purchases. In the past 10 months, I have had the privilege of foraging with 534 people. From professors, teachers, librarians, doctors and lawyers to students, non-profit workers, CEO’s, electricians, plumbers and everything in between. My work has allowed me to celebrate special occasions with so many of you – birthday parties, anniversaries, reunions, corporate outings and more.
I wanted to take a moment and reflect on all of these incredible experiences. Meeting your families, your friends and co-workers, your partners, husbands/wives and children; sharing knowledge, passions and interests; being outdoors, inhaling fresh air, enjoying nature and observing together; smiling, laughing, learning. It has been an absolute pleasure.
Here are just a few of my favorite class memories and foraging finds over the past year, starring YOU!

So many of you have offered your own services, personal connections, recommendations and resources. I was lucky enough to meet Anthony Tulliani at a group forage in 2023. Anthony is an incredibly talented photographer who generously volunteered his time during a September forage and captured some stunning pictures (below). You can check out more of his beautiful work here.

Jason is a content creator and head’s up the Old Dirty Boston Podcast. He joined me on a mushroom forage in July and made a great promo video to help drum up interest around the city. If you missed it, you can watch it here!
Signe Johansen has been one of my dearest friends since we were 8 years old. Originally from Norway, her family would summer just down the street from my house in New Hampshire. We spent days at the beach together body surfing and nights running around the beautifully landscaped grounds at their cottage playing flashlight tag. Now Signe is a world famous writer and cook book author, bringing Norwegian culture to the masses. Since starting my business, she has graciously and effortlessly supported me as a mentor, guru and networker extraordinaire.
In June, she introduced me to the hilarious Felicity Cloake, travel and food writer for the Guardian, author of countless books and one badass bicyclist. We spent 24 hours together foraging, cooking, laughing hysterically and trading recipes while she was in town doing research for her new book. Her trip involved biking up and down the east and west coasts and through sections of the mid west in search of the best American fast food.
Looking back on the past year’s memories fills me with pure joy. I am truly humbled to have met so many wonderful people and to have shared such unique experiences with all of you.
Thank you for joining me on this journey! Here’s to a great 2025 season. Happy holidays foraging friends!
