When: May 3, 2025 10am – 1pm
Where: Framingham, MA
Cost: $65/person
Interested in learning how to identify medicinal plants, trees and other delicious local wild edibles? Join me on a relaxing and delicious walk in the woods! This class is perfect for the beginner/intermediate forager, herbalist outdoor enthusiast, nature lover or home cook.
We will review various spring edibles (greens, garlic/onions, flowers, roots, herbs, etc), discuss sustainable harvesting techniques and local laws, review invasive edible species and collect specimens to study/taste. Learn 20-30 edible species that are available now and take some home with you to enjoy!
The walk will be followed by a wild soda, mead, shrub and jelly tasting – and discussion of how to make your own at home! While we sip, sample and chat, I will also have a few specially prepared foraged snacks for you to nosh on including pickled wild Jerusalem artichokes, spring green pesto, pickled mushrooms and more!
*Please note: If rain/weather is an issue on the event date, a rain date will be emailed out to registrants.
