Before the tree syrup tapping, winter tea mixing and general dormant distresses of full winter are upon us, I invite you to enjoy the last of our fall months outside. For my November forages, I wanted to add additional aspects – tastings and workshops – that I am hoping will both intrigue and encourage you to experiment throughout the winter months.
May offers an incredible bounty of beautiful, sweet and delicious edible flowers – both wild and ornamental. While the magnificent magnolias have mainly passed, we are being greeted with new flowers that offer a wide variety of options for enjoyment.
It’s mid-Feburary in New England, and while there is an ever-constant threat of nor-easters and blizzards, I can finally start to see the light at the end of the tunnel – spring! Daylight starts to grow and my body craves sunlight and vitamins.
